the chance of a lifetime.  Responsible for performing full range of technical and administrative
work in support of process development, design and production planning. Develops new document
processes and maintains accuracy of existing documents. Works with other engineering entities and
personnel in related activities to resolve problems. Must have analytical skills and knowledge in
manufacturing product costing, landed cost analysis and ROI’s.

 

 

Skills Needed:

    * Enter new standard, non-standard, raw, subassembly, and purchased component part numbers at
the master and organization levels in Oracle.  Enter bills of material, routings, and roll-up the
pending standard costs in Oracle. 
    * Assist the business development and engineering teams by providing cost estimates for standard
and non-standard products.
    * Work with other Panduit divisions to set up and/or transfer manufactured / purchased
components to new manufacturing locations.
    * Review and sign off on engineering control drawings, assembly drawings, engineering change
notices (ECN’s), and other engineering documents (assembly methods, test methods, material
specifications, etc).  Define and enter the distribution list for all engineering change notices on
the ECN document, forward for approvals, and then to the engineering vault for recording, archiving,
and distribution.
    * Based on the business case, identify the optimum packaging solution for all bulk, raw, and
finished saleable parts.  Write, approve, and ECN a product packaging specification for all new
products including raw and purchased components.  Coordinate package tests per the ISTA-1A
procedures and record / document the results.  If necessary, determine the weight and volume of each
product and load the information into Oracle.
    * Construct new packaging labels (package level and carton level) for all new products using
Pindar (aka Bartender) label software.  Calculate the check digit for the bar codes, set-up the bar
codes, and then test the bar codes to ensure they are readable for divisional and warehouse use. 
    * To continue improvements to existing packaging, using packaging and BOM software as required,
to lower overall cost to Panduit and improve ways of communicating specifications to manufacturing
locations.


Plus:

    * Associate's degree in Engineering preferred, or equivalent
    * 3 - 5 years of related experience.
    * Experience with MS Office, including Excel, Word, Power Point, Access and Project
